It’s an exciting time for our children and parents when they know school is starting. Meeting new friends and teachers, in a new location, is something students excitedly anticipate. PreK students want to explore other areas outside their home and local playground. They know there is more out there to see and the teachers and staff at the Margaux Early Childhood School are here to provide fun, new ways for them to explore and learn. PreK is an exciting class for children. It’s a time when they are building social skills like being attentive and following directions. At the Margaux Early Childhood School, our teachers understand this to be an important time for our PreK students. Learning to listen, understand what is being asked, and following directions is one of the many keys to growing and thriving in school and in life. Our goal is to offer each student high-quality early childhood education programs and experiences in order to prepare them for their school years and cultivate a love of learning at an early age. Our PreK students develop better language skills, do very well on school readiness assessments, and are successful in transitioning to kindergarten. Our PreK students learn social skills that will benefit them as they grow older.
PreK Class Instills Life-Long Learning in Children
Our PreK students come to us ready to learn. Their adventurous spirit helps them grow, make new friends, and learn about new people, places, and things. Our teachers are there to support their curiosity and cognitive development as well as their social and emotional skills necessary to make new friends. PreK is a time to grow, explore, and become ready for the school years ahead. Our teachers and staff will work with your children to help them become accustomed to school, being in class with other students, working together, exploring their new environment, and positively interacting with teachers and other adults.
School Bells are Ringing for PreK Students
Our PreK classes are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. and our staff to child ratio is 1 to 10. Our PreK students are all 4 or 5 years old and are excited to start their first days of school. Our teachers and staff look forward to meeting our students and will work with them every day to help them grow into young students who look forward to learning.
